Workplace Violence & Harassment Prevention Policy

Cyber Staffing is committed to promoting and maintaining a safe, respectful, and healthy work environment for all employees — including internal and external team members, contractors, suppliers, visitors, and clients. Cyber Staffing will not tolerate any behavior that intimidates, threatens, harasses, abuses, injures, or otherwise victimizes any member of our workforce. We will take all necessary and appropriate steps to protect our people from the risks associated with workplace violence and harassment.

Management’s Commitment

The leadership team at Cyber Staffing will take all reasonable precautions to safeguard employees from workplace violence and harassment. We are committed to ensuring that every employee is aware of their rights, responsibilities, and protections under this policy.

All concerns, allegations, and incidents will be investigated promptly, fairly, and confidentially (within reasonable limits) to ensure a safe and supportive workplace. Regular risk assessments will be conducted to identify and address potential risks, and all assessments will align with Cyber Staffing’s Workplace Violence & Harassment Prevention Policy and procedures.

Employee and Contractor Commitment

Every employee and contractor shares in the responsibility to maintain a workplace free from violence and harassment. All team members must be familiar with the policies and procedures designed to protect them and their colleagues.

Employees are required to immediately report any incidents of workplace violence or harassment to their direct supervisor, the designated workplace violence coordinator, or Human Resources. There will be no retaliation against anyone who, in good faith, reports an incident, files a complaint, or provides information related to a report or investigation.

Definitions

Workplace Harassment
Workplace harassment includes engaging in a course of vexatious comments or conduct against a worker in a workplace — or a single comment or act — that is known, or reasonably ought to be known, to be unwelcome. This includes but is not limited to: bullying, intimidation, verbal abuse, derogatory remarks, inappropriate jokes, unwanted physical contact, and behavior that creates a hostile or offensive environment.

Workplace Violence
Workplace violence is defined as the exercise or attempted exercise of physical force by a person against another in the workplace that causes or could cause physical injury. It also includes any statement or behavior that could reasonably be interpreted as a threat to use physical force, which could cause harm to a worker.

Policy Expectations

This policy is not intended to limit or restrict the reasonable exercise of management functions, such as performance management, work assignments, or workplace discipline, when conducted appropriately and respectfully.

Cyber Staffing expects every employee — regardless of role or seniority — to actively support, promote, and comply with our Workplace Violence & Harassment Prevention Policy and program.

The policy will be reviewed annually by Cyber Staffing’s executive management team to ensure continued compliance with all legislative requirements and to incorporate best practices for a safe and respectful workplace.
