Employment Equity Policy

Cyber Staffing is deeply committed to employment equity and to building and maintaining a diverse, inclusive, and resilient cybersecurity workforce. We recognize that cybersecurity challenges are best addressed by teams that reflect a broad range of perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds. It is our policy to comply fully with all applicable laws on non-discrimination and equal opportunity, while upholding the principle of merit in recruitment, career development, and advancement opportunities.
In line with this commitment, employees of Cyber Staffing will refuse any job orders from clients that require discrimination of any kind during our sourcing, recruiting, or selection process. Our consultants are encouraged to report any perceived violations — no matter how small — to their direct manager or Human Resources. Any team member found engaging in unlawful discrimination will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

What Employment Equity Means in Cyber Staffing

Employment equity is an ongoing strategy aimed at eliminating systemic barriers that may prevent the full participation of all individuals in the cybersecurity workforce. It is particularly crucial in a field where diversity of thought, perspective, and experience directly strengthens threat detection, incident response, and strategic decision-making.
Our equity policy focuses on individuals and groups protected under the Human Rights Act and designated under the Employment Equity Act (EEA) or Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) regulations in the United States. Its primary objectives are to:
-
Identify and remove barriers within recruitment policies, practices, and hiring processes that impact underrepresented talent.
-
Foster an inclusive environment that attracts and retains diverse cybersecurity professionals, from analysts and engineers to CISOs and executive leaders.
-
Expand access and representation across all functions and seniority levels, ensuring that designated groups — including women, Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, and visible minorities — are equitably represented in the cybersecurity talent pipeline.
Cyber Staffing guarantees equal opportunity for all individuals regardless of race, national or ethnic origin, color, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, family status, disability, or a conviction for which a pardon has been granted.
